Spring feels like it’s starting to make an appearance here in the UK. I mean the daffodils sprouted before January even kickstarted but the weather finally seems be warming up a little and the birds are singing again. My makeup has definitely been representing something much lighter and brighter too, so I thought I’d share with you some makeup picks that I thought would be perfect for Spring…
Urban Decay // Naked 3 Palette
I honestly can’t think of an eyeshadow palette that is better suited to spring that this one right here. It’s full of pretty pink, rose shades that get you excited for dewy mornings and little lambs lining endless patchwork farm fields. Well, maybe not but you get my gist…
Benefit // High Beam
I picked up a travel sized of this product last summer and haven’t reached for it since the nights started getting darker in September. It’s got a stronger tint to it than the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors, it’s a much more obvious glow to your skin. Which I think is so necessary at this time of year, where it’s almost spring but not quite and your skin just needs a real pick me up!
Bourjois // Radiance Reveal Concealer
This concealer was a new release in February and it’s been sold out in every drugstore since. I only managed to pick this up just this week. It’s quite watery but that just adds to the dewy, glow that it gives your skin. It isn’t called radiant for nothing!
Tarte // Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush – Fearless
This isn’t a blush I reach for often, in the pan it looks very pink. On the skin, it just looks like a perfect transitional shade from spring to summer. I know I’m a little early on the bandwagon, I’m just so eager for long days, butterflies and the bright sun.
Revlon // Colourburst Lip Butter – Peach Parfait
I wear a lot of matte lipsticks, most of which are deep reds, burgundy’s and the occasional purple on my lips in the winter. This lip butter from Revlon is much lighter, glossy on the lips but very natural. It embodies natural beauty which is what I think Spring is all about!
Daniel Sandler // Watercolour Liquid Blush – Cherub
Okay, another blush but I couldn’t not include this one and I guess the Tarte one is a little premature… This blush goes on so naturally, imitating the look of blushed cheeks from the morning breeze. It’s organically glowy and doesn’t necessarily need a highlight with it but why not, it’s Spring, when else can you go overboard on the dewy products!
