Pretty much all I have been thinking about lately is my trip to New York in November (44 Days and counting.) All I have been wanting to do is shop for my Winter wardrobe, the stuff that is going to be super stylish for the super stylish city but also warm enough for the girl that is forever cold. Me, the eternally cold girl. But disappointingly, even though the weather seems much cooler, the shops still haven’t brought in their coats and scarfs yet. Which is surprising because the department store I work in, have already shelved their Christmas crackers and festive onesies. Priorities.
Anyway, I thought I’d share with you, my must have transition pieces for Summer to Fall fashion.
Black skinny jeans are always my go to jeans, all year round but mostly in the fall and winter. I’ve never really caught onto the ripped jean trend until now and think these will be a great alternative to the Joni Jeans by Topshop that I practically live in when the tree’s change colour. My favourites are the Joni Jeans from Topshop, at £38 they’re a little pricey but I know they’re going to last me a few years!
I picked up one from Brandy Melville a few weeks ago in London for just £13. It’s cropped and only has three quarter length sleeves which I think is great for the “it’s not hot enough to be summer but not cold enough to be winter” time of year. You’re covered but not too covered if the sun does decide to make an appearance. And what’s more, is this top, in particular, is so soft, Brandy Melville products are always made from the softest material!
I got these Vans for my birthday last November and my love for them is still so strong. I don’t think it’s quite cold enough for boots in the fall, but it’s definitely too cold for pumps. Whilst these Vans, in particular, are no longer available, these are cute, I love the leather accents on the heel.
Mixing patterns has been so on trend this year and I love the bold necklaces on patterned tops. Make a fuss out of an outfit that makes me feel good when the weather makes you feel down is a priority for fall fashion. And what’s best is you don’t need to spend loads of money on a pretty necklace, Primark have some really pretty ones in this season.
Honestly, these style hats have been a love of mine since I was 14 and Demi Lovato released her video for ‘Get Back’. Unfortunately, despite how great I think I look in them, my head is too small and the wind whips them off in a heartbeat. There’s luck for you, though…
Fashion posts are so difficult for me to write, it doesn’t come as naturally as reviewing a beauty product, but it’s been something I’ve been enjoying a lot lately. Let me know what you think in the comments.
